Discontinued
Diva
Change is difficult. I am trying to have a more positive attitude about change, trying
to roll with the punches with a minimal amount of complaining. (My family is now doubled over in laughter)
As if the daily changes in schedules, driving routes, computer software and weather aren’t enough of a challenge;
do I have to give up my good old standbys as well?
Now I’m not really a diva when it comes to cosmetics
but the last time I went to buy lipstick they had not only discontinued my color but the whole “moisturizing”
line. Do you know what is involved in finding a new lipstick color? First of all the color that you see
in the tube is not the color that shows up on your face. And don’t even try to get a clue from the
name. The tube in my makeup bag says “lilac”…what??? It isn’t
even close to the color of lilacs! So far I have bought three new lipsticks and still haven’t found the right color.
If only I had bought stock in the company first! Besides the lipstick, they have also discontinued
my favorite wrap sandwich at Arby’s. It took me five minutes at the drive thru window just to figure out what I would
have for lunch now. The frustrating part is its not just the lipstick and the wrap sandwich but in the last six months they
have discontinued my favorite foundation, my favorite instant cappuccino, the Pontiac, the Oldsmobile and two of my favorite
stores! I just got rid of all my cassette tapes and my friend tells me that CD’s are on their way
out replaced by MP3’s…say what? I’m starting to feel old, like I’m next on the list to be discontinued!
This all started when they cancelled “Captain Kangaroo” you know.
